Alekiel (WITH BIO)

Name: Alekiel Shimmerstorm

Species: Alicorn (natural)

Age: Technically thousands of years old but generally acts like the average fifteen- to sixteen-year old. ^_^

Talent: Shaping/Controlling storms, creating/raising stars, occasionally granting wishes made on stars, etc.

Cutie Mark: Turquoise star with black lightning behind it (I will draw a close-up later)

Lives: Technically in Equestria but is in process of moving to Kemt, a neighboring kingdom ruled by the Three Sisters: Woodland Spirit, Ocean Breeze, and Fleeting Moonbeam.

Bio: Alekiel was the original princess to rule the Crystal Empire. She never wanted that job, but the Empire needed protection and her parents and the other Alicorns were no longer around to do so. Alekiel never expected to gain dominion over the stars – that power was controlled by her uncle, Night – Luna’s father – and it made sense that that power would pass on to Luna, along with the moon. But when he and Day and the other Alicorns died/left/etc, Luna discovered that she could not raise the stars. She begged Alekiel to try, and she obliged. When she succeeded, her cutie mark appeared. Earlier on, Alekiel had discovered her powers over storms, and was puzzled when her CM did not appear then. Now it made sense. Back to the Empire. When Sombra challenged Alekiel to a duel for rule of the Empire, she agreed as she didn’t want any other ponies hurt. He tricked her into energizing the Crystal Heart (See Prologue of Return of the Lost Princess) and she was sucked into a portal that opened, finding herself inside the Heart. For the next thousand or so years, she was trapped there, never aging, tortured by her ability to see what was happening in Equestria but not be there. When Night Mare Moon escaped, Alekiel was the one who cause the stars to aid in her escape. She knew it had to happen eventually and she realized that this was the best way for it to happen, as she had seen the potential of six fillies in Ponyville. When she finally succeeded in escaping the Heart, as a result of a Crystal Eclipse and help from the Mane Six, she was considerably changed and bore a strange scar on her chest from where the tip of Sombra’s horn had stabbed her. I can’t say a lot here as it will spoil RotLP but basically when she was in the Heart she didn’t recognize the darkness inside her as it was frozen in suspended animation, but when she escaped it began to spread towards her heart. Realizing this, she fled and eventually met Animal, my cousin’s character. While with Animal, she got a ‘makeover’ and ran into Minty from the original MLP. Minty gave Alekiel the shoe-thingamabobs she wears. I can’t go into great detail about what happens later but it involves Sombra, creepiness, and stuff. Alekiel’s best friends are Luna, Animal, and Aztec Dream. She’s generally an outgoing pony, but when you need her to she’ll stop and listen.
